LaFayette Main Street Redevelopment Plan 

Statement

Our project aims to bring economic redevelopment to downtown LaFayette by enticing new businesses to come to the area as well as to provide support for exisiting businesses, create more spaces for the community to interact without the pressure of making a purchase, and use the historic charm to bring visitors to downtown LaFayette. By improving the safety of the crosswalks currently in place downtown, pedestrian traffic will increase, placing multipurpose spaces in vacant buildings will create a space for community members to mingle and hiring local artists to paint murals that highlight LaFayette’s rich history will create a brand that focuses on this historic downtown sector.
